How I got here
Believe it or not, God led me to CBC while searching for church and ministry jobs online and it was after meeting with several other pastors and leaders here, that I immediately knew this was the place for me! Having grown up in San Diego, my desire has always been to find a church family in Southern California where I could plant myself and my family for several years. Since our first day at CBC almost three years ago, it has been clear to both, my wife and I, that we've found that church family and we couldn't be happier.
What I do here
Here at CBC, I get the privilege (yes, the privilege) of working with middle school students! Some people may think I'm crazy, but I actually love doing it! Each week I get to share God's Word with them in a real and relevant way, and encourage them as they grow in their relationships with one another and with Christ. One of the coolest parts about my job is getting to hang out with students outside of church. Whether I'm grabbing In-N-Out with them or watching them play soccer, I love being able to build relationships with students that are centered on Christ.
Why I do what I do
My passion for ministry has always been fueled by my own experiences in youth ministry. My goal has been simple: to invest in students and families the same way I was invested in as a student myself. I feel empowered each and every day to live out that calling at our church.
